Iran launched retaliatory air strikes against the United Arab Emirates and other targets following military operations by the United States and Israel, causing disruption and damage in Dubai. Gowland shared updates from the airport before confirming he had boarded a first class flight to Mauritius on his fourth attempt.

The reality television personality documented his efforts to leave, thanking the United Arab Emirates government for its response to the crisis. He also addressed online critics who posted hostile comments about the situation, saying he was shocked by messages celebrating the unrest and wishing harm.

Fellow reality star Laura Anderson also managed to depart Dubai with her young daughter after rebooking her travel. She said the airport was calm but that passengers appeared anxious, and she expressed gratitude for a safe departure as flights across the region continue to face disruption.
