British counterterrorism police are investigating a series of linked arson attacks targeting Jewish sites in northwest London, including an attempted firebombing at Kenton United Synagogue. Officers said the incidents are part of a broader campaign against British Jews and are examining possible connections to an Islamic group known as the Islamic Movement of the Companions of the Right, which may have ties to Iran.

The synagogue attack caused minor smoke damage after a bottle containing an accelerant was thrown through a window. It was the third assault on a Jewish site in London in less than a week, according to Britain’s chief rabbi, who warned of a growing pattern of violence and intimidation against the Jewish community.

Police are also investigating other recent incidents, including an arson attempt on a building previously used by a Jewish educational charity, a suspected drone plot involving the Israeli Embassy, and the burning of ambulances belonging to a Jewish volunteer emergency service. Authorities are assessing whether Iran is encouraging criminal proxies to carry out attacks, warning that individuals recruited for such acts could face serious legal consequences.
