Police investigating after West Bank settler filmed running over sheep with ATV

Israel Police have opened an investigation after a settler was filmed driving an all terrain vehicle into a flock of sheep belonging to a Palestinian shepherd near Khirbet al-Tawil, close to Nablus. The footage shows the vehicle, which had a bull skull mounted on its front, running over several sheep and stopping with two animals trapped underneath.

The video also appears to show the driver confronting and striking a Palestinian man who was recording the incident. Several sheep were reported injured. Police said they are using all available tools to clarify the circumstances.

The shepherd, identified as Rafe, alleged that the same individual frequently harasses him, describing repeated confrontations and acts of intimidation. The episode comes amid a reported surge in settler violence in the West Bank, where arrests and convictions are said to be rare.

The incident follows another case a day earlier in which a settler was filmed beating a Palestinian owned dog, highlighting rising tensions and repeated attacks on property and animals in the area.
