The Royal Navy's flagship HMS Prince of Wales is beginning an eight-month deployment to demonstrate the UK's naval and air power. The deployment, known as Operation Highmast, will involve joint exercises and visits with 40 countries across various regions. The aircraft carrier, accompanied by other warships, supply ships, and aircraft, will participate in exercises in the Indo-Pacific region with the involvement of up to 4,500 military personnel from 12 other nations. The deployment aims to support key trade routes, show support to NATO, and demonstrate credible deterrence.
