The Netherlands experienced a significant increase in antisemitic incidents in 2024, with a record-breaking 421 cases documented, according to a report by the Center for Information and Documentation on Israel (CIDI). The report highlighted a rise in violence and vandalism targeting Jewish individuals and institutions, as well as a surge in public spaces. The coordinated nature of the attacks during a soccer match in Amsterdam has deeply alarmed the Jewish community and wider Dutch society. CIDI called on Dutch authorities to take a firmer stance and emphasized the need to prevent the normalization of antisemitism.
