A new study reveals that the prehistoric giant shark Otodus megalodon had a more versatile diet than previously thought, feeding on a broader range of prey including large fish and marine mammals. By analyzing the zinc isotopic composition in fossilized teeth, researchers reconstructed predator-prey relationships from 18 million years ago.
