An organization called Operation Benjamin is dedicated to tracking down Jewish-American war heroes from World Wars I and II and honoring them with the symbol of their faith. The organization was founded after Shalom Lamm and Rabbi Dr. Jacob J. Schacter noticed a lack of Jewish headstones in international cemeteries where American casualties were buried.
