In 1944, General Dwight Eisenhower led the largest amphibious assault in history on the Normandy coast, breaking through Hitler's Atlantic Wall. Justice inspector Friedrich Kellner, a resister of the Third Reich, documented Nazi crimes and the genocide of the Jews in his diary. Despite Allied progress, the Holocaust continued as the Germans resisted liberation.
