Argentina to put Iranians and Lebanese on trial in absentia over...

An Argentine judge has ordered that seven Iranians and three Lebanese citizens accused of involvement in the 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires face trial in absentia for the first time. The trial comes after years of efforts to apprehend the suspects, including influential Iranian officials and Hezbollah members, who have evaded justice. The decision to allow trials in absentia was pushed through by right-wing President Javier Milei, a strong ally of Israel and critic of Iran.
