Saudi Arabia has reaffirmed its position that normalization of ties with Israel is contingent upon the creation of a Palestinian state. Speaking at a United Nations conference in New York, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan emphasized that sustainable peace and regional integration can only be achieved by addressing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including self-determination. This stance echoes previous statements by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and counters Israeli suggestions that Riyadh might accept less than a full commitment to a two-state solution. Meanwhile, Israel's current government continues to oppose such a framework and has taken steps toward annexing parts of the West Bank.
