Julia Hyman, Jewish graduate of Cornell, killed in Manhattan shooting

Julia Hyman, a 27-year-old Cornell University graduate, was identified as one of the four victims killed in a shooting in Manhattan on Monday night. Hyman, who worked for Rudin Management, was murdered after the shooter mistakenly arrived on her employer's floor. Cornell President Michael Kotlikoff and the university community mourned her loss, highlighting her academic achievements and recent participation in her five-year reunion. The shooting also claimed the life of Wesley LePatner, another prominent member of the Jewish community, whose contributions and leadership were remembered by the UJA Federation of New York.
