Uriel Nuri, a 26-year-old zookeeper at the Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem, was killed on Friday after being mauled by an Anatolian leopard. The incident occurred while Nuri was preparing enrichment activities for a visitor tour. A preliminary investigation suggests that a safety lapse allowed the leopard to exit its enclosure, as one of the doors meant to contain the animal had been left open. The leopard had only recently arrived in Israel earlier this year.
