A French terrorism court has ordered six individuals to stand trial for their alleged roles in the 1982 attack on the Jo Goldenberg Jewish restaurant in Paris, which resulted in six deaths and 22 injuries. The assault, considered the deadliest antisemitic attack in France since the Second World War, involved grenades and automatic weapons and targeted both French and American victims. The suspects are believed to be linked to the Abu Nidal group, a militant organization responsible for numerous deadly attacks during the late twentieth century. While some suspects remain at large and will be tried in absentia, French authorities have pressed forward, with the trial expected to begin as early as next year. Victims' families and survivors continue to seek justice and closure decades after the attack.
