Sarah Awaidah, a thirty-year-old resident of east Jerusalem, has led a humanitarian effort that delivered food and supplies to over one hundred thousand families in northern Gaza, bypassing corrupt systems and profiteers. Working with her team under Mena Aid and in coordination with Israeli authorities, she established a secure distribution route that avoided both political groups and private contractors who had turned hunger into a business. Her success in providing free aid disrupted the local black market, angering both militants and merchants who profited from scarcity, and resulting in threats to her life—even from people she once trusted. Despite escalating dangers and personal betrayals, Awaidah remains committed to her mission, determined to ensure that families in Gaza receive fair and dignified access to food, regardless of the risks she faces.
