A two-year-old girl was discovered alive inside a suitcase in the luggage compartment of a bus in New Zealand. The bus driver became suspicious after noticing movement in the bag during a stop in Kaiwaka and found the toddler, who was reportedly very hot but otherwise unharmed. Authorities took the child to a hospital for a thorough medical assessment, and a 27-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with child neglect. Police are continuing their investigation and have not ruled out additional charges, while children's services have been notified.
