Daniel Lifshitz, grandson of Yocheved Lifshitz who was released from captivity in Gaza, spoke from the Knesset about his family's ordeal and the ongoing struggle to free hostages still held by Hamas. He recounted the tragic fate of his grandfather Oded Lifshitz, who was injured during the attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz, taken to Gaza, and died in captivity due to lack of medical care. Daniel emphasized the emotional toll on his grandmother, who remains mentally captive until all hostages are freed, and highlighted the pain shared by families awaiting news of their loved ones.

Lifshitz criticized the international community for its failure to secure the release of hostages, describing the return of his grandfather's body as a 'black stain' and calling for greater responsibility from global media. He urged world leaders and regional powers to demand the unconditional release of hostages, a permanent ceasefire, humanitarian aid, and the removal of Hamas from Gaza's governance. Lifshitz insisted that reconstruction should not proceed while Hamas remains armed and called for unified international pressure to bring about meaningful negotiations and the safe return of all hostages.
