Seventeen men from central Israel were rescued after becoming stranded at Nahal Jilabun in the Golan Heights. The group had entered the nature reserve shortly before nightfall, ignoring a sign that indicated it was closed, and found themselves without water or flashlights as darkness fell. Police rescue teams tracked the hikers' location through a phone interview and reached them using off-road vehicles carrying water. Once located, the hikers were transported to a nearby parking lot and left the area independently.
