Baharav-Miara described the move as a unilateral decision that violates longstanding arrangements and Supreme Court directives, suggesting it was intended to harm her professional standing.

Justice Minister Levin responded by asserting exclusive ownership of the office and criticizing the Supreme Court for focusing on procedural disputes rather than pressing civil rights issues. He highlighted the stalled investigative committee on spyware as an example of more urgent matters being neglected.

The dispute has been brought before the Supreme Court, with both sides presenting sharply contrasting views on the significance and implications of the office lockout.
