An Israeli political source stated that Israel's demand for the release of all hostages held by Hamas remains unchanged, despite reports that Hamas has accepted a ceasefire proposal. The reported deal would see the release of 10 living hostages and the bodies of 18 deceased hostages in exchange for the release of 200 prisoners from Israeli jails, but would leave 10 living hostages still in captivity. The proposal also includes a partial withdrawal of Israeli forces from northern and eastern Gaza, with exceptions for certain neighborhoods, and significant humanitarian aid to be distributed by international organizations. The Rafah crossing would reopen in both directions, and for every body of an Israeli hostage returned, ten bodies of prisoners would be handed over to Palestinian Arabs.
