Protesters told not to give details to police at rally over...

Protesters opposing the ban of a pro-Palestine group have been advised not to provide their details to police at a demonstration planned for September 6 in Parliament Square. Organisers from Defend Our Juries have briefed attendees to 'go floppy' if arrested, making it harder for officers to remove them, and to refuse to comply with street bail procedures. The protest is set to proceed if 1,000 people commit to attending, with nearly 3,000 already expressing interest. Previous protests have resulted in hundreds of arrests, mostly of older individuals, for displaying placards supporting Palestine Action, which was recently proscribed after an incident involving damage to military aircraft. Amnesty International UK has called for charges against peaceful protesters to be dropped, emphasizing the right to protest under international law. The demonstrations are expected to continue until a High Court challenge over the group's ban in November.
