Israel has released 250 Palestinian prisoners as part of a ceasefire agreement with Hamas, with many of those freed having served life sentences. In Ramallah, crowds gathered to welcome 100 of the released prisoners, celebrating their return with applause and jubilation. Additionally, around 1,700 detainees from Gaza, including 15 minors, are being released. The ceasefire deal also saw the release of the remaining 20 living hostages held by Hamas in Gaza after more than two years in captivity.
