Border Force officer charged after 25kg of heroin found at Birmingham Airport

A Border Force officer has been charged with conspiring to import class A drugs after authorities discovered 25 kilograms of heroin in a suitcase at Birmingham Airport. Syed Shah, aged 39, was arrested alongside Zahida Perveen, whose suitcase contained the drugs, and Shahid Butt, who is also implicated. All three face charges of conspiracy to import class A drugs, with Shah and Butt additionally accused of money laundering. This incident follows the jailing of two other Border Force officers last year in unrelated drug smuggling cases, raising further concerns about corruption within the agency.
