Deputy Military Advocate General Gal Asael was questioned and suspended after being interrogated under caution regarding the leaked video of alleged abuse at the Sde Teiman military base. Asael, previously tasked with investigating the leak, was placed under house arrest as authorities probe whether he and other senior officials knew the leak originated from within the Military Prosecution when submitting affidavits to the Supreme Court. Police have searched the Military Prosecution's offices and may also place former Military Advocate General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi under house arrest. Oversight of the investigation has shifted, with the Attorney General recusing herself and a retired judge appointed to supervise the process.
