Clift Seferlis, a resident of Garrett Park, Maryland, has pleaded guilty to sending a series of threatening messages to Jewish organizations across several states, according to the United States Department of Justice. The threats, made between March 2024 and June 2025, targeted more than 25 institutions, including synagogues, museums, schools, and community centers.
Seferlis's communications included letters and postcards that threatened to destroy buildings or harm individuals, often referencing weapons, fire, or explosives. Some of the messages invoked historical events and expressed escalating hostility, raising alarm among the targeted communities.
