Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa'ar, speaking in Paraguay, announced the elimination of senior Hezbollah operative Ali Tabatabai, calling it a step forward for regional security. Sa'ar argued that Lebanon's sovereignty is undermined by Hezbollah's military dominance and warned that as long as the group remains armed, both Israel's security and Lebanon's future are at risk. He emphasized that recent Israeli operations target Hezbollah's military infrastructure, not Lebanese sovereignty, and accused the group of rearming since the ceasefire. Sa'ar also praised Paraguay's support for Israel, highlighting deepening diplomatic and economic ties, and celebrated the signing of a new security cooperation agreement.
