Tue: Stocks fall back

The main indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange declined today after strong gains the previous day, with significant drops for insurance companies such as The Phoenix Holdings and Clal Insurance. The Tel Aviv 35, Tel Aviv 125, and BlueTechGlobal indices all closed lower, while the TelBond 60 corporate bond index saw a slight rise.

On the currency market, both the shekel-dollar and shekel-euro rates fell. Among leading stocks, Elbit Systems led trading but declined, while Bank Leumi and Bank Hapoalim saw modest gains. Clal Insurance experienced a sharp fall despite strong quarterly results.

Other notable movements included a surge for IDI Insurance and Rimon, while Retailors, Ackerstein, Elco, and Delta Brands posted significant losses.
