The suspects were believed to be planning attacks against Israeli civilians in the Beit Jinn area. During the mission, armed terrorists opened fire on the soldiers, prompting a firefight and aerial support. Several Israeli reservists were injured, with two officers and one soldier sustaining severe injuries, while others were moderately or lightly wounded. All injured personnel were evacuated for medical treatment, and their families have been informed.
