The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court has ordered an Arab attacker to pay 528,000 shekels in compensation to a Jewish family whose home was targeted with firebombs. The assault endangered a six-month-old infant, who was rescued by his father from a burning room. The attackers also fired fireworks at police officers responding to the incident. Three accomplices were convicted and sentenced to prison terms, with additional compensation mandated. A further civil suit, led by Attorney Haim Bleicher, is underway, aiming to deter future attacks and reinforce the safety of Jewish residents in Jerusalem.
