Minute's silence held on Bondi beach to mark week since terror attack

A week after the tragic attack at Bondi beach, hundreds gathered at sunset to observe a minute's silence in memory of the victims. The memorial, held under heavy security, drew a large crowd who listened to emotional speeches and honored the youngest victim, Matilda, with bee-shaped balloons and a rendition of 'Waltzing Matilda.'

The ceremony also highlighted the bravery of Chaya, a 14-year-old who was wounded while protecting others, as she addressed the crowd and encouraged kindness and courage. The event concluded with the lighting of a menorah, a gesture that resonated across the nation as homes everywhere displayed candles in a show of unity and hope.
