Siwar Ashour, a one-year-old Palestinian girl previously evacuated from Gaza for medical treatment in Jordan, has been hospitalized again after her return to Gaza. After spending six months in a hospital in Amman, Siwar was repatriated on 3 December but fell ill just days later, suffering from persistent diarrhoea and vomiting. Her grandmother reported that Siwar's condition has been deteriorating since her return. Doctors at al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza are treating her for a gastro-intestinal infection, complicated by her immune system deficiency and difficulty absorbing nutrition, which requires specialized care and formula.
