Italian police have arrested nine individuals accused of raising millions of euros for Hamas through a complex fundraising network. The operation, which involved both counter-terror and financial police, began after the October attack in southern Israel and focused on suspicious financial transactions linked to the suspects. Authorities allege that while donations were collected under the premise of aiding civilians in Gaza, the majority of the funds were diverted to support Hamas's military wing and the families of those involved in terrorism. Among those arrested is Mohammad Hannoun, president of the Palestinian Association in Italy, who has denied the accusations. The Interior Minister expressed gratitude to law enforcement but emphasized the importance of presuming innocence at this stage.
