The Meteorological Service has issued a red alert as a powerful storm approaches its peak, bringing significant rainfall to several regions. Samaria is expected to receive between 50 and 75 millimeters of rain by mid-afternoon, while the Carmel region, central coastal plain, southern lowlands, and Judean Hills could see 35 to 50 millimeters. The Judean Desert, Dead Sea area, and northern Arava are also forecast to experience 10 to 15 millimeters of rain. Authorities are warning of a rising flood risk as the storm intensifies.
