Clashes erupted in Gaza City as a militia aligned with the Popular Forces intensified its attacks against Hamas. The confrontation, which took place near the al-Sanafor junction in the Tuffah neighborhood, resulted in the deaths of two Hamas members and left several others wounded.
The violence began when militia fighters advanced into residential areas, prompting an exchange of gunfire with Hamas and other armed groups that lasted around 20 minutes. The militia eventually retreated toward areas under Israeli control. This escalation follows the killing of Yasser Abu Shabab, a former leader of the Popular Forces, amid ongoing internal disputes.
