The announcement was made by Mobileye's founder and chief executive, Amnon Shashua, during the CES electronics trade show in Las Vegas. Mentee Robotics, also founded by Shashua, has previously raised over $40 million and was valued at $162 million in its most recent funding round. The transaction, which includes both cash and shares, has received approval from Intel, Mobileye's controlling shareholder.
