Ali Shaath, head of the National Committee for Managing Gaza Strip Affairs, has announced the beginning of Gaza's reconstruction process, starting with temporary housing for displaced residents using mobile homes. Shaath revealed that while clearing the rubble could take up to three years, full reconstruction may extend until 2040. He proposed a controversial plan to expand Gaza's land area by dumping construction debris into the sea in a controlled manner. The reconstruction strategy, approved by the World Bank and the Palestinian Authority, will unfold in three stages: temporary housing, infrastructure restoration, and full development. Plans also include rehabilitating the damaged electricity grid and upgrading the power line from Egypt.
