Ashgara Mengistu, the brother of former hostage Avera Mengistu, has been missing for two days, according to police statements on Tuesday evening. He was last seen leaving his mother's home in Ma'ale Adumim on Sunday morning and has not been in contact since. Mengistu, born in 1992 and a resident of Ashkelon, is described as approximately 1.75 meters tall, with a medium build and black hair, and speaks Amharic.
His mother expressed concern over his recent withdrawn behavior, noting he had returned from Eilat three weeks ago and seemed troubled during his visit. She recounted the moment she realized he was missing and shared her distress, hoping for his safe return. Police are urging the public to assist in locating Ashgara Mengistu.
