Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin a two-day visit to Israel aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries. He is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for informal and delegation-level talks, address the Israeli Parliament, and participate in engagements focused on technology and innovation. The visit is expected to reaffirm cooperation between the two democracies across key sectors.
An upgraded security agreement is likely to be a major outcome of the visit, alongside progress toward a proposed free trade agreement. Discussions will cover defence, security, science and technology, agriculture, water management, trade, and people-to-people ties. Both sides are also expected to exchange views on regional and global developments.
During the visit, Modi will call on President Isaac Herzog and pay tribute at the World Holocaust Remembrance Center. Israeli officials have indicated that deepening defence collaboration and expanding economic ties are central goals, particularly amid evolving regional tensions and security challenges.
