A Tel Aviv court has ordered a man to return a woman’s dog, Teddy, after determining that the animal is legally registered in her name. The decision followed documentation showing the Shih Tzu was listed under the woman’s ownership, including a microchip registration, municipal license, and vaccination booklet.
Judge Raz Navon of the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court issued an unusual ex parte ruling requiring the dog’s return within 48 hours. The court stated that if the man fails to comply, enforcement authorities, including the Enforcement and Collection Authority and the police, may enter his apartment to retrieve the dog and return it to its owner.
