Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday said she hoped Prime Minister Narendra Modi would raise the issue of the Gaza conflict and seek justice for Palestinians during his address to the Israeli parliament. She stated that India has historically stood for truth, peace and justice and should continue to uphold those values globally.
Rahul Gandhi criticized the Prime Minister, referring to recently publicized files related to Jeffrey Epstein, and questioned the basis on which any agreement with Israel would be made. He used a parody poster to underscore his remarks and suggested that past interactions raised concerns about the direction of foreign policy.
Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera alleged that email exchanges revealed in the Epstein files indicated that the foundations of India-Israel relations after 2014 were influenced by Epstein and individuals connected to him, including former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Indian minister Hardeep Puri. He questioned how India’s foreign policy decisions were shaped during that period.
