Emunah Chirak visited the grave of her husband, Sergeant Yosef Yehuda Chirak, at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl, bringing with her their infant son, Mevaser Tov, who was born after his father's death. Yosef Yehuda, 22, was killed in combat in Gaza while serving in the 601st Engineering Battalion of the 401st 'Iron Trails' Brigade.
The couple had been married for seven months before his death. Yosef Yehuda, a resident of Haresha in the Binyamin region, is survived by his parents, three sisters, and the son he never met.
After the birth of her son, Emunah shared a message expressing gratitude despite her loss, announcing the arrival of their baby boy as a source of joy for the people of Israel. She signed the message in both their names and described the child as a sweet gift, choosing a name that reflects hope and good tidings.
