One of the most talked-about weddings in India is unfolding in Jodhpur, where billionaire technology executive Nikesh Arora is reportedly hosting grand celebrations for his daughter Ayesha Arora’s marriage to Jack Hughes. While there has been no official confirmation from the couple, social media buzz has highlighted an elite guest list, including United States Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, drawing global attention to the event.
Nikesh Arora is the chairman and chief executive of cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks, a position he has held since 2018. Born in India, he studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology in Varanasi before moving to the United States for higher education, earning a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University and a master’s degree in finance from Boston College. He later spent nearly a decade at Google during a major growth phase and went on to hold senior leadership roles at T Mobile International and SoftBank Group.
With an estimated net worth of about 1.3 billion dollars, Arora is regarded as one of the most influential Indian-origin executives globally. Beyond his corporate achievements, his personal life has also attracted interest, including his previous marriage and his later wedding to Delhi-based heiress Ayesha Thapar. As festivities continue in Rajasthan, the largely private celebration has already become one of the year’s most closely watched society events.
