United States President Donald Trump said he is not happy with the ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran, insisting that Tehran must clearly commit to not developing nuclear weapons. Speaking in Texas, he described the talks as difficult and said any agreement must be meaningful, adding that his administration faces a significant decision regarding the next steps.
Trump criticized Iran’s past actions and warned that the country cannot be allowed to possess nuclear weapons. He noted recent military actions targeting Iran’s nuclear capabilities but said he would prefer a peaceful resolution. He emphasized that further discussions were planned, though he expressed dissatisfaction with how negotiations were progressing.
The comments came after a third round of talks between Iran and the United States in Geneva, amid heightened tensions and a military build up in the Middle East. Several countries have advised their citizens to leave Iran due to concerns about potential strikes, underscoring the fragile state of the diplomatic efforts.
