Dozens of medical personnel are traveling from Cyprus to Israel aboard a vessel operated by Zim Shipping, under the supervision of the Health Ministry. The team is expected to arrive in Haifa on Tuesday morning and includes several senior doctors who will reinforce hospitals across the country.

The additional staff are set to support major medical centers, including Sheba Medical Center, Rambam Medical Center, and the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya, as Israel responds to ongoing security challenges.

Zim Shipping has redirected ships and infrastructure to assist with national needs, prioritizing the transport of essential medical personnel and critical supplies. Company leadership stated that supporting the state and ensuring the welfare of employees remain their primary concerns during the emergency, and that assistance efforts will continue as long as required.
