Approximately 20,000 reservists were mobilized to the Home Front Command at the start of Operation Roaring Lion and are now deployed in about 35 battalions across Israel to support and protect civilians. The large-scale mobilization is part of a nationwide effort to strengthen emergency response capabilities.
Since the operation began, Home Front Command units have responded to dozens of incidents, including 13 major impact sites. Forces were dispatched immediately in each case to conduct search-and-rescue missions and assist affected residents.
The command’s public information center is operating around 120 response stations and has handled approximately 6,200 phone calls along with hundreds of written inquiries. During a visit to an impact site in Be'er Sheva, Commander Major General Shai Klapper praised the soldiers’ efforts and urged civilians to continue following safety instructions.
