President Donald Trump attended a dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base to honor six United States Army Reserve soldiers killed in an Iranian drone attack in Kuwait. The service members died when a drone struck a command center in Port Shuaiba during the early days of the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.
The attack came one day after the United States and Israel launched a military campaign against Iran. Iran later retaliated by firing missiles and drones toward Israel and several Gulf Arab nations hosting American military forces. The fallen soldiers were part of a logistics unit responsible for supplying troops with food and equipment.
Those killed were Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Amor of Minnesota, Sgt. Declan Coady of Iowa, Capt. Cody Khork of Florida, Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert Marzan of California, Maj. Jeffrey O'Brien of Iowa, and Sgt. 1st Class Noah Tietjens of Nebraska. President Trump was joined at the ceremony by the first lady, the vice president, senior cabinet officials, and members of Congress in paying tribute to the fallen service members and offering condolences to their families.
