The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defense released footage showing its air defense systems intercepting and destroying Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles that attempted to target the country. The ministry said the attacks began last week as part of a broader escalation in the region.
According to official figures, the military detected 1,422 incoming unmanned aerial vehicles, intercepting 1,342 of them while 80 struck land. Of 238 ballistic missiles identified, 221 were intercepted, 15 fell into the sea, and two hit land. All eight cruise missiles launched toward the country were intercepted.
In a statement, the ministry affirmed that there is no compromise when it comes to the nation's security and sovereignty and said the armed forces remain ready to deter any threat.
