Tensions across the Middle East intensified sharply after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a sweeping campaign of missile and drone strikes targeting sites it said were linked to the United States and Israel. Among the reported targets were the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan and locations in Tel Aviv and Beersheba, with Iran claiming the use of Khorramshahr-4 'Khaybar' missiles.
The United Arab Emirates said more than 1,400 Iranian missiles and drones were launched toward infrastructure and civilian areas. In Iraq, a drone strike allegedly damaged a critical United States radar system at al-Harir Air Base, while explosions were reported in Erbil.
As military activity increases and cross-border attacks intensify, concerns are mounting that the hostilities could expand into a broader regional war involving multiple countries.
