Sirens sounded across central Israel and the Shephelah region after rockets were launched from Lebanon without prior warning. Israeli military officials said one missile struck central Israel while others landed in open areas, and debris from interceptions fell in several locations. Four people were lightly injured and evacuated to Kaplan Medical Center and Shamir Medical Center with blast and shrapnel wounds. The Israeli Air Force later destroyed the launcher used in the attack.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility, stating that it targeted a satellite communications station belonging to the communications and cyber defense corps of the Israeli army in the Elah Valley. Earlier in the day, an Iranian missile strike in Yehud killed one person and critically injured another at a construction site, while a separate strike in Or Yehuda seriously wounded another individual and caused additional property damage.

Amid the escalation, roughly 650,000 residents evacuated from Beirut's Dahiya area and about half a million people left southern Lebanon. Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel would continue striking Hezbollah and emphasized that communities would not be abandoned, adding that the large-scale evacuations in Lebanon reflect Israel's military pressure and deterrence efforts.
