A United States military Boeing KC 135 refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq during Operation Epic Fury, according to United States Central Command. The incident occurred in friendly airspace and involved two aircraft operating in the area.

One of the aircraft went down, while the second landed safely. Officials stated that the crash was not the result of hostile fire or friendly fire.
