Israel's National Security Council has issued a warning to Israelis in the United Arab Emirates due to ongoing Iranian drone and missile attacks targeting the country and other Gulf states. Officials believe Iranian forces may be seeking to target Israeli nationals in the region.
The council advised Israelis to avoid events or gatherings connected to Israel, including synagogues, Israeli-identified businesses, and nonessential group activities. Travelers were urged to stay away from the airport unless they hold a valid flight ticket, and employees of Israeli companies were instructed not to report to offices associated with Israeli operations.
Israelis were also strongly discouraged from booking flights with layovers in the United Arab Emirates because of instability in regional air travel. Special return flights for Israelis are expected to conclude by March 15.
Authorities outlined safety guidance for potential drone attacks, including following local security instructions, seeking shelter inside buildings away from windows, and lying flat while protecting the head if caught outdoors or near an explosion. Drivers were told to safely stop, exit their vehicles, and lie flat on the ground if an हमला occurs nearby.
